Autumn has been beautiful this year, with sun and warm temperatures lasting longer than we can normally expect. So when it began to snow last Wednesday, it came as a shock, but it was bound to happen. Time will tell if the spikes in my pots will survive the winter - it's too late to pull them now, but they do look very sculptural with the snow upon them.
What does this have to do with writing? Not much. It's just an interlude, a time to enjoy the little things like snow on leaves, to appreciate how the sun brightens a snow covered world. And to be thankful that we can actually see and appreciate all that we have.
To my American friends who will celebrate their Thanksgiving this week, best wishes for a wonderful holiday.
